Cycling

With its flat and beautiful landscape, the region around the Neusiedlersee National Park and World Heritage Site offers the ideal opportunities for extended cycling tours. The cultural cycle path leads directly past the house and connects to the extensive cycle paths around Lake Neusiedl. For bicycles, we have our spacious "bike box" for storage.

Relaxing at the Birkenhof

A sauna with coloured light therapy and a steam bath invite you to linger and relax in our wellness oasis.

On request, we will, of course, be happy to provide you with one of our cosy bathrobes free of charge during your stay.

Golf

The Birkenhof is the ideal starting point for golf with lots of variety. All are within an hour's drive, whether the nearby Donnerskirchen golf course or more than 10 other beautiful courses.

As our guest, you get a 20% green fee reduction on many of these courses.

Wine tasting
In the Golser Weinkulturhaus, you can taste a selection of the more than 400 top Golser wines and purchase them at the farmgate price. Alternatively, experience an unforgettable wine tasting at the winery of a Golser vintner. Finally, of course, you can taste our wines in the restaurant and take them home.
Golser Wine Trail
An experience for the whole family. Explore the Gols vineyards on a route of 9.8 km and get to know the nature and vineyards around Gols. Combine exercise and exciting facts about wine!
History and culture
Combine your stay with history and culture and take a trip to the nearby castles and towns. Visit Halbturn, Kittsee, Rust, and Eisenstadt, or further into nearby Lower Austria, the summer residence of Prince Eugene - Schloss Hof and Niederweiden. Moreover, discover the cosmopolitan cities of Bratislava, Sopron and of course Vienna.
Lake Neusiedl National Park and Unesco World Heritage Site
The unique landscape around Europe's largest steppe lake is a must-see. Not without reason was the Lake Neusiedl National Park established here in 1993 to protect this area's unique fauna and flora. In 2001, the region was also included in the Unesco World Heritage List. A guided tour through Lake Neusiedl National Park is one of the absolute highlights for our guests.
